Thinking of Joining Cross of Glory?
If you are considering making Cross of Glory your home, thank you and welcome! Everyone is welcome at Cross of Glory, whether you are a member or not. If you are interested in finding a new church home or if you have been coming for a while and would like to be more involved, the pastor is happy to talk with you about becoming a member.
We receive new members in three ways:
People who are new to the faith can be received into the Church through Baptism. Though we most often baptize new members as infants, adult and young adult baptisms are not uncommon and are celebrated by the community.
Members of other Lutheran churches can ask their congregations for a letter of transfer. This letter helps with the record keeping both at their former congregation and here at Cross of Glory. It’s not a requirement, but is helpful to both churches.
- Profession of Faith
People who have been members of a church of another denomination or tradition are welcome at Cross of Glory. To join by profession of faith, the pastor will meet with you to talk about what it means to be Lutheran and how it compares with your current denomination, and to answer any questions you may have.
If you would like to know more about the process of becoming a member or want to talk with the pastor, please contact Pastor Cassie.
